My Story

My Story

It all started here

A personal story. After successfully building my own company for seventeen years and traveling the world, experiencing freedom, life gave me a challenging yet valuable task: to guide three unique children (born within 4 yoears one after each other) on their unconventional path. This is a unique developmental journey that not everyone is granted. As these children began to show signs that they required more attention, I sold my successful company, which was also my livelihood.

Believing that things should only be done well and with complete devotion, I decided to dedicate myself to my children and Autism. I became familiar with Autism inside and out, I studied possible developments, diets, remedies, experimental tools. I tried everything from scientific to esoteric methods, until finally in 2018, I traveled to a South Indian guru with my three children, who promised not to cure the innate condition, but to change our karma. Once again, I took a leap into the unknown for a better future.

Birth of the Blog and the Books

My first blog was called Karmaváltás, which later turned into my first book. I wanted to share our daily life and challenges in India initially only with relatives and friends until I realized how many people might be interested in our little story in the colorful and exotic India.

I seized the opportunity and incorporated our experience with Autism into my writings. Many people rooted for us from afar and followed our journey, giving us strength. The blog turned into a book upon our return from India and now it is available also in English. Two years later I wrote my second book, which is a personal and family development story. Since the readers of the first blog were constantly curious about how our life evolved after India, I now share this with them on my current blog, only available in Hungarian.

The full price of the book supports the Autisták Köztünk Boldogan (Autism Happily Among Us) Association!

Mission

After learning a lot about autism on my own path, I have wanted to share this
knowledge with others for some time now to help them shorten their journey.

However, each autistic person’s path is unique and individual, making it difficult for me to find the best way to help. I also hesitated for a long time to share our personal story with others, until I realized that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, and I knew it was something I had to do. This is how I found my voice as a writer and later as an Autism activist. Upon returning from India, I founded the “Autisták Köztünk Boldogan” (Autism Happily Amongst Us) Association, whose goal is to integrate autistic individuals into society and create a better future for them.

I have delved into Autism and self-awareness, striving to emotionally stand up to life’s challenges in the healthiest way possible, as I am the driving force behind my family as a woman and mother.

Recognizing that not everyone has the time or resources to find solutions in such non-conventional, burdened life situations, I aim to share the results I have achieved with others. I always view the challenges in my life as opportunities, providing strength and motivation to many through my speeches and writings.

The idea and goal of the association

The idea and goal of the association are to integrate autistic individuals into society in the mid to long term. The challenges individuals with autism face in fitting into society are still unresolved despite the fact that about one in a Hundred people is autistic.

It is particularly difficult for children when it comes to choosing kindergarden or school, as some are more easily integrated while others are not, and this often only becomes clear in practice. As they transition into adulthood and strive for independence, the situation becomes more complex, as individuals with autism struggle to fit into society, including finding employment, due to their behavioral quirks and communication difficulties. Unfortunately, many never become self-sufficient and independent, necessitating alternative solutions for their future as parents do not live forever and siblings cannot be burdened.

Society is not yet fully prepared for this challenge. This is why the association I founded aims to integrate autistic individuals into society in the mid to long term. In the mid-term, we organize activities to enhance social and communication skills for autistic youth and provide support to their parents in coping with their child’s diagnosis and new life situation. Long-term goals include addressing the housing and employment needs of individuals with autism so that they, too can become valuable members of society.

Unexpected Attention – Media, TEDx, Speaking Engagements

Our Indian story, the blog, and the book drew the attention of the media to us, and I sincerely hope to raise awareness about Autism as well.

I have had increasing media appearances, and in 2020, I spoke at a TEDx event titled "Compassion – Freely." By now, I have developed a perspective that there is a reason why more and more autistic individuals are born, along with more people who are unfamiliar with malice, competitiveness, and are uninterested in the material world.

These individuals offer us an opportunity for growth, a new mindset in a world that is overly busy, superficial, and materialistic.
